Lace-lovin Librarian held a give away of DooDads, well I just had to join in.
Diane sent two Doodads. I started with this pencil drawing and turned it into the try out below. From this I got these ear rings, I used Altin basak in this colour to go with my new dress,go's well I think. Have done picture below so you can see the tatting easyer.
Do you know - in all the years of using doodads I've never thought of only tatting on part of them!! VERY pretty design.
ReplyDeletethis is so stunning, just like jane said - i'd never think about tatting only around half of it!!!
ReplyDeleteand the colour matches perfectly :)
Hey, Jane took my comment! I really like the look of the tatting around just part of the doodad. I think it allows you to appreciate both the tatting and the doodad more. I'll have to give that a try soon.
ReplyDeleteDitto all comments! EXCELLENT IDEA!
ReplyDeleteLove the thread color!
Hey, that's what I was going to say too! Never occurred that I din't have to go all the way around! These are a stunningly beautiful match for your dress. Would you mind terribly if I copy your idea? Wow, I'm blown away!
