Needed to tat some thing over Christmas, New year ,so made these for a couple of friends. Have made them many times, pattern so easy to follow.

Friday, 28 December 2012

Well Christmas is over, still working, going to finish the edge of this mat as have found an edge that will fit with a bit of jiggling. The one that it come's with I just can't get it to fit(old pattern). My daughter Francesca has bought me OCCHI Schiffchenspitze Frivolite for Christmas but I must finish a couple of U.F.O'S first.

Monday, 24 December 2012

Well at last have finished my Tat-a-long that Tat-a-Renda has been running. Christmas got in the way . I have changed the edge slightly as have run out of time. The clovers on edge are meant to be added to two rings bt missed them out and went straight into the clovers.See Jon's blog to see how it should look.

Tyto Alba

This is me showing off my Brothers and s-i-laws Christmas present I made. They have just bought a narrow boat and are going to call it Tyto Alba (Barn Owl) in latin. My s-i-law Margaret is mad about Owls. I thought this was a good present for them both to use on the boat. Apron and oven mitts.

Cat

Not done any more to Gingerbread Boy , why not ,well I have been asked for a door stop draft excluder.
Many years ago my mum and her friend made over 900 of these Cat's and raised funds for the church. We kids sat for hours cutting up foam to stuff them. Collected stone's from every where(especially building sites). Ate lots of birds custard to get the tins, to put the stones in.
I Half remembered what the pattern looked like and have come up with something very near. I'm very pleased with how it's turned out.

Tat a long

Well here's the body of my Gingerbread boy. I have joined Ambitterous'es Tat-along. I have alway's wanted to tat this pattern by Gina the tatting goddess. I had started this last week before I knew about the tat-along but I found a fault and the scissors came out. Well here goes again better luck this time I hope.

Monday, 29 October 2012

I used this as my tatting for the Charnwood project  Diamond jubilee. I used Lizbeth thread with a thin glitter thread. The picture does not show how the crystals shine. The pattern I slightly changed is Charity from Tatting Patterns and Design.

Saturday, 27 October 2012

Well heaven has another great left handed tatters. This is my very good friend Karen Sutton who lost her fight  with lots of Illnesses on October 11th aged just 53 . Going to miss the made tatting challenges we set each other.
At Charnwood tatting day we had a memorial table with the two set pieces she had tatted.

Wednesday, 24 October 2012

Charnwood Tatters were very sad that one of there members had died just a week before there open day. We but a table with a couple of bits that Karen had tatted for the day out and people but a cross of remembrance if they wished.
The competition was a cross ,we asked for extra crosses that will be donated to a church, oh what beautiful crosses we had as you can see below..
Our summer project was the Queens diamond jubilee what lovely tatting.
We had a wonderful day with Tatting and design in attendance for us to get our supply's. Lot's of yummy cakes with our tea's and coffee.
